1. Today you’re known as The Achievement Mentor but for a while in your life you weren’t making much progress in regards to achievement – and in fact you we’re moving in quite the opposite direction. Share some of your background and how it led to writing a book about overcoming obstacles and high achievement.
2. What did you start doing differently that really created the shift?
3. There are so many people out there today struggling just to stay afloat – what’s the first thing they need to start doing in order to get unstuck and start achieve their dreams?
4. In the 7 Rules of Achievement you talk about something you call the Reticular Activating System (RAS) and how it can have a profound effect on identifying the resources needed to achieve your objective – let’s talk about that for a moment.
5. What are some of the common things that stop most people from achieving their dreams?
6. We know that at the beginning of the New Year a lot of people will engage in the tradition of setting resolutions. But as we also know something like 85% of those resolutions will either be forgotten about or broken within the first 60 days. Is making a resolution even a good idea – especially on New Years?
7. I think a major reason people fail to succeed at achieving their goals is a lack of confidence. More specifically, they simply don’t believe in themselves. You’ve written quite a bit about how to overcome issues related to self confidence. Can you share some methods and insights for improving confidence levels?
8. We all imagine a better future and how it could be or how we would like it to be – how big a role does imagination and the ability to clearly see our objective in our minds eye play in our ability to achieve it? I mean we’ve all heard “if you can see you can achieve it.”
